ABOUT ME
When I first joined the band in fifth grade, I loved it so much that I dreamed of becoming the “Johnny Appleseed” of music—spreading programs and opportunities wherever I went. Many years later, I realize that is exactly what I’ve done. Since 1994, I’ve built and nurtured music programs in a wide range of settings, learning invaluable lessons through both struggles and successes.Today, I’m proud to be a respected conductor and music educator, passionate about sharing what I’ve learned with others. Together with my team, I help music educators approach challenges with integrity, excellence, and self-empowerment. My goal is simple: to make your work as an educator easier, more fulfilling, and more joyful than it would be without our partnership.

MUSIC EDUCATION ATTUNED
FOR CONNECTION
I have dedicated my life and career to cultivating a strong yet gentle voice—one that engages both teachers and learners in an energetic, collaborative study of music. My approach is rooted in the belief that in building the fundamental techniques of artistry, we can nurture virtuosity in our students.
V — Variety in our approaches to and expressions of music sparks engagement.
O — Our music becomes part of us as we strive to nurture its performance.
I — Iteration is our journey: we try, assess, improve, and repeat—together.
C — Collaboration, reflection, and self-critique unlock our creativity and craft.
E — Excitement is the magic we create when we make music together.
This philosophy guides every rehearsal, classroom experience, and program I lead. By embracing our collective VOICE, we build communities where musicians grow not only in skill but in joy, confidence, and connection.
